New Features
Risk Assessments & Method Statements
Cover Sheers for Risk Assessments & Method Statements
The new Cover Sheets feature lets you upload and manage Cover Sheets directly in RAMS. The Cover Sheet appears at the very front of the exported PDF, meeting client/contractor requirements without changing your current workflow. This ensures every RAMS pack is complete and ready to use on site.
For instance, if you’re preparing RAMS for a high-risk task where the contractor requires a Cover Sheet, you can now add it directly within Notify. When you export the RAMS, the Cover Sheet is automatically placed at the front, presented exactly how the your client expects, so your documentation is compliant and avoids delays on site.
Cloning Risk Assessments & Method Statements
The new RAMS Cloning feature lets you quickly create a new Risk Assessment and/or Method Statement by duplicating an existing one. All content, structure, and attachments are carried over, ready for you to update with job-specific details. This reduces admin time, improves consistency, and helps you meet compliance requirements faster.
For example, if you need to prepare RAMS for a job that’s similar to a previous one, such as repeated maintenance tasks or standard construction activities, you can now clone the original RAMS in seconds. Simply make any necessary updates and it’s ready to issue, saving time and ensuring your documentation stays accurate and compliant across similar jobs.
Incident Management
Anonymous Incident Reporting
We’ve introduced a new configuration option that allows customers to enable anonymous incident reporting for specific incident types. When activated, the incident form will automatically hide personal information fields (name, email, contact number), helping to reduce reporting hesitancy and encourage a more open safety culture.
This update ensures:
-
Greater confidence and trust for users who wish to report anonymously
-
Cleaner, simpler forms tailored to the selected incident type
-
Improved support for reporting models where identity protection is essential (e.g. Swiss Cheese methodology)
To enable this feature, ‘Your Customer Success Representative’ can simply toggle the new "Hide Reported By Details" setting within the Incident Type configuration.
Feature Improvements
Incident Management
Manual setting Custom Flags
You can now set Custom Flags manually, without them being applied automatically. This gives your team greater flexibility to decide exactly when and where a flag should be used; ensuring they only appear when they’re truly relevant.
For instance, if an incident becomes more serious after investigation, you can now manually apply the appropriate flag at that point. This keeps your records accurate, your reporting relevant, and helps teams focus on the incidents that need attention most.
To enable this feature, ‘Your Customer Success Representative’ will configure Incident report forms to ensure you can take advantage of manually setting Custom Flags as part of implementation.
QR Codes for Faster Reporting
When using QR codes for individual reports, the option to return to the incident selection page has been removed to streamline the reporting process and keep users focused on completing the intended form.
UX Improvements
Searchable Content for Incident Report & Investigations
We’ve expanded Incident search to include more of the information stored within each record, not just incident numbers or user details. You can now search using global list selections, free text entries, and location fields captured in the record. This makes it easier and faster to retrieve relevant incidents for investigations, compliance reviews, and spotting recurring issues, saving time and reducing manual effort.
For example, if you need to find all incidents involving “forklift” at a specific site and affecting a particular injured person type such as 'Agency Employee', you can now search directly using that keyword, location, or person’s name. The results will surface all relevant incidents, including those where the details appear in text fields or dropdown selections, helping you quickly gather the information you need for decision-making or reporting.
Filter by Locked Status on User Management
Managing large user bases just got easier. We've introduced Locked User Filtering to help administrators quickly identify and manage these users.
Previously, there was no simple way to locate locked accounts, requiring time-consuming scrolling through long user lists. With this update, admins can now filter specifically for locked users, making it faster to:
-
Troubleshoot login and access issues
-
Audit account status
-
Reduce admin time spent managing user access
This improvement streamlines support and gives greater control over large or dynamic user populations.
Public API
We’ve added new endpoints and fields to the Notify Public API, giving you access to even more of your data for external reporting and dashboarding.
You can now extract:
-
Published Hours Worked
-
Deleted Audits, Incidents, and Actions
-
New properties for Audits, Incidents, and Actions including:
-
Confidential Delegates
-
Confidential Notes
-
Completed Date (for Audits)
-
Enabled Scoring (for Audits)
-
Excluded Notes (for Incidents)
-
These additions give you greater flexibility when building dashboards or reports in tools like Power BI. Whether you're focused on compliance, performance, or engagement, you now have more data at your fingertips to track what matters most to your organisation.
Mobile App Updates
On 4th August, we released optional updates to the Notify mobile apps, delivering improvements to make reporting faster and more accurate. Rich Text fields now display as multi-line text so audits and incident reports can be completed fully from mobile. Incident Management app users can now Log Out to switch between organisations without reinstalling. We’ve also fixed a bug so hidden incidents no longer appear in the app.
We’d encourage all users to update to the latest version to benefit from these improvements.
Housekeeping
At Notify we call this ‘keeping our lights on!!'. Essentially this is about good housekeeping to ensure the infrastructure, code, third party components and the plumbing we use is maintained, secure and in good working order.
Scheduled downtime
We are really looking forward to delivering this version to you. There will be scheduled period of downtime on the evening of Wednesday, 20th August, to allow us to introduce these new features into Notify. We will endeavour to keep any disruption to a minimum.
